I have been working at BANG since January 2016. As the Operations Manager, I work with the senior management team to ensure that our vision, mission and values to create opportunities for young people are embedded across all aspects of our programmes. BANG is a very special and upbeat place, I love working at BANG because there’s never a dull day in the office and it’s good to work among genuine and talented people from all walks of life every day.
My name is Mireille, I have been working at BANG since 2015 as Project Coordinator and Project Worker, in a warm and friendly atmosphere where the Young People and their families can find support and comfort. I am very proud to be part of this exceptional project which clearly empowers our community.
I am really enjoying working for this organisation for it believes in the work it is doing and every so often time is taken to remind people of the importance of the contribution they make. As project worker I engage with families, schools and other organisations to provide the best support we can to ensure these families and especially their younger members feel valued and know they have a voice when things are not going well. The role is a great opportunity to support families and help shape a community that quite often feels isolated in many ways.
I have been with BANG from October 2012 and had the chance to work first as a Volunteer (Finance Assistant) and now a member of Staff as Finance Officer. I am very lucky to be part of BANG with such a dedicated, great and supportive team that work to create an enabling environment for young people to thrive in.
