BANG training can be delivered at our dedicated training centre in Brent, our radio studios in Harlesden town centre or in an outreach capacity at community and youth centres or schools and colleges across London.
BANG enrichment training is designed to give young people an engaging and interactive introduction to creative media production. Encompassing a range of activities, BANG tutors can deliver stand alone units of a wider qualification, or an accredited qualification focussing on personal development skills. This training is ideally suited to shorter courses ranging from four weeks to an academic year and allows participants to work towards qualifications on the QCF from Entry Level 1 to Level 2.
BANG progression training is designed to provide young people with a nationally recognised qualification in creative media production that allows for progression into further education, training or work. Trained, industry active BANG tutors deliver QCF approved qualifications, up to Level 2, across one or two academic years supported by functional skills tutors to ensure the highest levels of literacy and numeracy achievement amongst participants.
BANG information, advice and guidance professionals support specialist tutors and deliver QCF accredited personal development programmes ensuring that whether students participate in a full Foundation Learning programme or a short course their personal, social, health and economic educational needs are addressed.
Music Production
Using a number of digital music production workstations, BANG tutors will guide young people through music making techniques including sequencing, sampling, vocal recording and mastering. In a drop-in capacity, BANG tutors are able to offer their extensive experience in the UK urban music industries to young people looking to take their music to the next level.
Radio Production
BANG radio production training offers young participants an insight into the whole range of skills and roles that running and broadcasting on a radio station requires. Taught by specialist industry professionals, BANG radio production training is unique as students actively engage with the award wining community radio station BANG 103.6FM.
Music & Event Management
Participants will develop a wide range of skills including; writing, budgeting, graphic design, planning, evaluation and teamwork as they undertake a range of tasks based on BANG’S professional tutors working lives. BANG’s network of music industry partners means that, subject to age restrictions, trainees are able to put on the event they plan in training.
