BANG is a platform for developing young people and their talents.
We aim to provide every young person we reach with the skills and confidence they need to achieve their full potential and to participate creatively in both the world of work and in the communities in which they live.
We seek to address social exclusion through the delivery of projects to disadvantaged and marginalised young people that other agencies find hard to engage with. We meet the young people we work with at their point of interest and embed personal and social development in all our activities.
Alongside our youth development activities and we run a youth-focused community radio station, BANG 103.6FM. The award winning station’s music programmes match young people’s interests by playing cutting edge urban music and provides an opportunity to showcase their talents while speech based shows provide a voice and an opportunity to address a range of issues for young people who are often marginalised from the mainstream media .
And of course all this is both creative and entertaining.
